Here is a little C.V. ("Vita")
information (in chronological order) about Clarence after his service to our country in the Navy:
1. Graduated
from University of Central Oklahoma - with a major
in Physics. At the time, the University of Central Oklahoma was called "Oklahoma Central State College". He graduated
from college with his B.S. Degree in Physics in two years and nine months.
2. Did graduate work at North Texas
University, Baylor University, and M.I.T.
3. Taught high school physics and math in Dover, Oklahoma.
4.
Worked on the B-36 Program at General Dynamics in Fort Worth.
5. Worked for Sandia Corporation, in Albuquerque,
New Mexico.
6. Worked for the US Air Force in Albuquerque, New Mexico as Assistant Chief of Physical Testing for
the Air Force Special Weapons Command.
7. Worked for Martin Marietta in Denver, Colorado. He set-up the original
Martin Marietta testing, environmental, and functionality laboratories in Denver.
8. Worked for Phillips Petroleum
in McGreggor, Texas.
9. Worked for Astrodyne (J.V. of Phillips and North American Aviation) in McGreggor, Texas.
10. Worked for Rocketdyne (subsidiary of North American Aviation) in McGreggor, Texas. Clarence also became a private
aircraft pilot and flew many flights visiting friends and family. Clarence was the Chief of Engineering Test at Rocketdyne's
Solid Rocket Division.
11. Worked for Tracor, Inc. in Austin, Texas (now a part of BAE Systems), initially as Program
Director of all of Tracor's F-16 Countermeasure Programs and finally as Corporate Director of Laboratories of Tracor, Inc.
As Corporate Director of Laboratories, Clarence operated the Manufacturing Burn-In Section, the Electronics Laboratory, the
Electromagnetics Section, and the Electronic Measurement and Standards Section, headquartered in Austin, Texas.
12. Clarence was President of "The Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology" (IEST) - a worldwide engineering association. Clarence actively participated in this association many
years and was widely recognized as a expert in his engineering field(s). In 1986 Clarence received the "Monroe Seligman
Award" from IEST due to his outstanding service to IEST. At a San Diego Meeting of the "IEST", the Mayor of
San Diego presented Clarence with the "Key To The City of San Diego".
13. Semi-Retirememt. [ During the
early retirement years, Clarence worked as a consultant in the systems analyst and integration engineering areas].
14. Fully Retired. [ Served in the Texas Southern Baptist Church Builders' Program and actively worked as a team member,
with other volunteers, in the actual physical construction of more than ninety (90) churches in Texas over a twelve year period
]. 15. Clarence was a devoted
husband (Wilda), father (Nancy, Michael, and Tricia), grandfather, and great grandfather. Clarence particularly enjoyed doing
things with his wife (Wilda) and his children, keeping in touch with his two sisters (Patsy and Betty) and brother (Troy),
keeping-up with the busy activities of his grandchildren, visiting great grandchildren, participating in family reunion activities,
maintaining long-standing friendships, walking/bike riding, participating in local church activities, and appreciating
the blessings of life daily. 16.
Clarence Franklin Sanders went to his glorious Lord Jesus Christ December 1, 2006. He has found new strength to fly high
on wings like eagles.
